Dundee has a formal (Council level) link with Nablus.

Its objective is "To promote and foster friendship and understanding between the people of Dundee and those of Nablus. To encourage visits where possible. To organise fund raising activities. To encourgae twinning projects, especially those of an educational and/or commercial nature.

From the Palestinian office - "Our next steps is to developing the cultural and economical links with Scotland through Dundee, we have Nablus Week in Dundee next month (November 2007) and we are planning to cooperate with the twinning association in Dundee to start preparing for youth group from boys and girls to get English course in Dundee hosting by the city community from the officials and unofficials, we are working in this project with Orgs in both cities and we hope if we can make some arrangements for those in other Scotish cities under the frame of Education cooperation with many interested sides in the two cities. Also we have main project for Nablus Products Exhibitions next year. we have now some a mount of very nice Palestinian special Embroideries and Scarves which we sent to Dundee to help covering of some activities, these things were made purely by needed people women in Nablus and a big amount of it sold and other waiting to be sold in other places."
